Pours black with a finger of khaki-caramel foam. Head retention is okay. Aroma is roasty, toasty, nutty, caramely malts with a little lactose, sugar and toffee. Flavor profile is roasty, toasty, nutty, caramely malts with lactose, chocolate, coffee and toffee. Really simple and yet refined, focusing on the basis of a milk stout. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a crushed-velvet, slightly bubbly texture. Overall, fun and straightforward stout.
Served in a 15.5oz Speigelau tulip from a 12oz can.

Jet black body; thick, foamy, light tan head. Cocoa and baker's chocolate in the aroma. Chocolate and lightly charred grain flavor; some alcohol notes that are quickly balanced out with a gentle sweetness; subtle bitterness. Heavy body; smooth; overall dry finish with some lingering notes of rich sweetness.
A respectable, easy drinking chocolate stout. It offers enough depth and complexity to satisfy most stout lovers with dark, rich, sensibly sweet flavors and character. Nothing trendsetting, yet it won't disappoint either. A good beer...

Enjoyed on nitro at the brewery in a pint glass. Pours near black with a nice brown head. Nose has dark malts, chocolate and hops. Taste is similar. Not bad, but nothing too impressive here. A good beer to wash down some of the bbq thats outside I guess. Light to medium body drinks well enough. Just nothing that really stands out here.

Took a trip down to Colorado Springs last week, mainly to visit this brewery. Had this one on tap in the tasting room. Poured a very dark brown, almost black color, with a half inch of tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate. On the palate, this one was thin and very light for a stout, with flavors of dark chocolate, roasted malt and coffee.
