This is a pretty good cream ale, but not great. It's very similar to the few US micro-brewer versions of this style I've had, particularly to Anderson Valley's Summer Solstice and Pete's Wicked Wanderlust. However, I think that (on tap) this looks a little better while the Summer Solstice is all-round a slightly better beer, esp. in aroma.
It is deep, slightly coppery gold with a fairly big, creamy white head slowly shrinking to a lasting thin foamy top and leaving nice lace.
The aroma is malty, with musty apple and a little earthy bread.
The taste is smooth, also malty with musty apple, grain, and biscuit plus a hint of browned butter. It's simple, but pleasant with some flavour that holds up and the feel is pretty nice. For the style, it's pretty good.
