I had picked up this bottle and three of its brethren at Country Garden Six-Pack, but the Vienna Lager required an approved picture before I would open it. Approval went through the other day, so I am (briefly) back on The Great Bottle Purge of the Summer of 2014! Whee!
From the bottle: "German-Style Ale Beer"; "At TAPS, we make our craft beers using only the finest quality ingredients and traditional brewing methods. To ensure that our beers are satisfyingly full of flavor and aroma, they are allowed to mature naturally and no additives are used. With special malt and hop varieties, Kolsch offers a unique experience for you to enjoy. The Brewmaster [undersigned illegibly]".
My gentle pour was too gentle to produce anything more than wisps, so I employed The Bartender's Trick and got a finger of foamy, bone-white head that actually proved to have decent retention. Color was Pale-Straw (SRM = 1 - 2) with NE-quality clarity and once again, I was suspicious of any beer tha is lighter than the urine that it eventually produces. Nose had that same vinegar-like sharpness, but not as pronounced as in their Red Ale. Yeast, perhaps? Mouthfeel was medium. Taste had a slightly grape-like flavor, vinous, like a dry white wine. Not bad. Finish was somewhere between semi-dry and dry. It was not terribly flavorful, but it did exude a white wine-like vinousness.

Pours an almost greenish light yellow colour with a big head but no lacing at all. Heavy sourness of citrus and apple in both smell and taste.
Quite a fizzy body with a metallic finish.
Doesn't have much character unlike their Vienna Lager but at least they are trying.

Yellow and pleasantly sparkling in the glass, with a sweet grain/lemon scent. Taste is too much grain, some apple, very sweet, quite spritzy in the mouth, a bit medicinal on the finish. Cheap German Kölsch, me thinks--a nice thing to find in Turkey, but not for the price.

Typically I really enjoy a good Kolsch style beer. These are tasty. When I saw that Taps put one out I figured I'd give it a shot. I know these are usually light on body, color, and mouthfeel. The beer was a little too light though and it was a bit of a bummer. Had the suddle sweetness that is always nice but not much else.

Huge starting egg-shell white that settles rockily but without any lace. The broth is greenish, dark straw color. Very mild haze.
Lightly sour aroma of lemon zest; it reminds me of a Saison.
The taste is similar to the smell, which means it's more sour than I would expect for the style. The body is super spritzy, but it is also rich enough to handle it. The aftertaste has yeasty flavor.

This is ok, a pretty basic wheat ale/kolsch that really does not live up to its style in my experience but is very much on par with the average US micro/brewpub wheat ale.
Light orange, it has a medium white white head, rather fizzy, that dissipates quickly to a few bubbles.
The aroma is pretty good, pleasant grain, apple, and a little yeast.
The taste is light and the character and feel a bit thin. It has grain and grass and seems slightly alcoholic with a dryish-bitter finish just before a cracker flavour and lingering faint bitterness. It's rather fizzy and a bit weak.
