Every fall we brew this beer in anticipation for football season. This year, we've made the delicious Imperial IPA even more drinkable clocking in at 8.8% ABV. The hoppy flavor of Warpath Imperial IPA will galvanize not only your taste buds but your thirst for victory. This winning ale was originally brewed to celebrate FSU’s win over Auburn in the 2013 BCS Championship Game. Drink like a chief, play like a champion.

Review out of a 14 ounce Teku glass. The look is of an excellent IPA. Excellent bubble diversity and a dark golden color. The nose has beautiful IPA notes. The bitter notes does not shine through the nose but instead, a strong orange and orange juice note is extremely prevalent. Other typical IPA notes are weak but the orange is delightfully strong. The taste is mild for the 8% ABV, with more continuing hoppy, orange notes with a lingering honey note. The taste is not wildly complex and bitter for an IPA but it is so damn enjoyable. The mouthfeel is also excellent with a perfect amount of carbonation for my palate. I really enjoy this beer and I believe it is Proof's best offering. I wish it was not seasonal.

This was good to be sure. I almost feel like a traitor drinking it, however, as I am a serious Florida Gator fan... so a beer brewed in honor of FSU? I almost was reluctant to buy it. But I did, and I'm glad. A great Imperial IPA. The ABV is considerably noticeable, but at the same time the biggest thing that breaks through with this beer is the hops, both in the taste and aftertaste/mouthfeel. Leaves a serious film on the palate reminding you how much hops you're drinking. I liked it, though it was creamier than I expected. Somewhat silky in the mouthfeel. GO GATORS! (Had to say it). Proof is doing good work though!

Deep coppery red in color with creamy light tan head. Head holds really well. Nice sticky lacing. Nice medium head and thick collar hold throughout this beer. Aroma is rich caramel malt sweetness in the background, with citrusy and resiny hops in the forefront. Nice creamy mouthfeel and good body, with medium carbonation. Taste is well balanced, good toasty malt (kinda bready, kinda caramely), citrusy and resiny prevail in the taste as they did in the aroma. A touch of diacetyl towards the end, buttery. Great beer overall though.
