Poured from a 0.5l bottle into a 0.5l branded Kruovice pilsner glass.
Appearance: Dark brown color with a fizzy, tan head that dissipates quickly. Kind of meh...
Smell: Smell of roasted caramel malts. Pretty normal for a dark beer like this.
Taste: Kind of flat with a bitter aftertaste. Kind of unpleasant...
Mouthfeel: A little thin and watery...Kind of bleh...
Drinkability: Not terrible but definitely not the best bock I've had. Probably would not choose this if there are other choices.

First review! Neither this beer, the brewery, or any other beers from the brewery were available, so I'm excited about my first new contribution to the BA community.
Poured from half-liter bottle into nonic pint glass.
Appearance: Dark caramel color with a pretty thick, bubbly white head. Staying power and lots of lace in the head, a beautiful beer.
Smell: Heavy on the caramel. Very sweet malty flavors, although doesn't have as strong a smell as expected or as other bocks have.
Taste: Roasty caramel character, with a strongly alcoholic finish. Pretty good beer, but the alcohol tastes a bit overwhelming for a beer that is "only" 6.9%. It also finishes with a heavy bitterness, which seems out of place for a maltier style
Mouthfeel: A heavy beer with a sharp, natural carbonation. Seems to stick to the palate as it goes down.
Drinkability: A pretty good beer, but has such an overwhelming flavor you wouldn't want to have more than one or two. Held back because of the intense, unexpected bitterness, but still not bad. Definitely a sipper, and I would have it again. If you can get some, try it- let's get some more reviews on this!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
