The imperial pint arrived, a clear, tawny brown with a pinky finger of lingering, creamy head. As I slowly nursed the beer, successive collars of lacing were left, making for a fine gradient.

The aroma was mildly malty, definately nutty, and with a hint of floral, English hops.

The taste was all nutty, slightly caramelized malt. Clean & slightly chewy and smooth and easy, oh so easy to drink. This really should be classified as a mild, not a brown. This is definately a noticably "small" beer. Lower alcohol, lower body, but still with big flavor. I really wish there was more beer like this. So damn drinkable. An excellent candidate for a session beer. This is the kind of beer that encourages you to settle in at the bar stool and not leave for hours and hours...

Medium brown color. Small head. Aroma is malty and slightly sweet. A medium bodied English Brown Ale. Mild malts are slightly sweet and nutty. Mild hops. Very tasty beer. This beer is from a Personal Microbrewery. I think this beer is a commercially available sample of one of their recipes. It closely resembles Newcastle Brown Ale, except the malts are a little milder and nuttier. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
