A helluva local find, it's a shame this is only a seasonal offering.
Pours a slightly cloudy, chocolatey-cola brown. Pushes up two fingers of dimpled, tan head with good retention.
Smells of clean, sweet malt, defintite chocolate, and perhaps a bit of slightly-floral honey.
Tastes malty as hell, with big, swaggering chocolate notes. Not roasty at all, and therefore not in the slightest sharp... Just smooth and chocolatey sweet.
Has a medium, smooth mouthfeel. The beer has relatively low carbonation - is that out of the style parameters for a bock? Either way, I don't really care, as it's entirely pleasant in the mouth.
Subtle, surprising, and incredibly drinkable, this is a new favorite among winter-beers for me.

2003 holiday seasonal. Only 600 bottles produced. Big one litre swing top bottle with gold embossed lettering.
Pours a dark mahogany with a lively, dense bubbly beige head. Sweet roasted malt aroma with chocolate, spiciness and a mild almost peaty/smoky nuance.
Wow! The taste is much more complex than the nose. Rich, deep roasted bready malt with a chocolate and caramel sweetness and some dark fruit. Hints of spices, vanilla, butterscotch and smoke.
Lingering finish is bittersweet and tangy. Excellent job!
Light to medium bodied. Rich and creamy mouthfeel with good carbonation. Alcohol is hidden nicely and it has great drinkibility.
