I'm really not sure what exactly the MC brewpub is aiming for customer-wise. Given what I've seen of the place, and their beers, why even bother to brew beer on the premises?
MC has very much a sport bar vibe to it, with a number of flat screen TV's strewn around the moderate in size dining area. There is also a modest size bar area, that holds roughly 10 or 12 patrons. Otherwise, there are a lot of neon lights and sports memorabilia decorating the bar and dining area. It's OK, but there's just something kind of seedy about MC brewpub that is a bit off putting.
As for the beer selection, they have around 10 or 12 beers on tap, including 6 or 7 of their own beers and several "guests." The latter included widmer hefe, bud lite, alaskan amber and stella (among other things). Based on what I tried among the house beers, I'll likely stick with Alaskan amber if I ever come here again. The wheat and IPA were, to say the least, very uninspiring. The place also has a number of bottled beers, which mostly consists of your typiical macro swill (corona, AB, millers, coors, heineken, etc.).
Service was OK. The bar tender was quick and friendly, and told me how lucky I was to come on pint day. As I found out, on Thursdays pints of beer cost just a paltry $2.50. While that's certainly a good deal, somehow I didn't feel all that lucky after sampling my pint of IPA.
I don't know. I generally travel to Walla Walla for the outstanding wine scene, but it would certainly be nice to have a place to drop by for a decent glass of beer from time to time. Since the depot closed down, there really aren't a whole lot of options, though I understand Laht Neppur plans to open a location on Alder street soon (signs are already up at the new location). In any event, it's pretty clear that MC BP is not a very good option should one want a decent glass of beer after a full day of wine tasting. Maybe I'd stop by again if there was some sporting event I wanted to catch on a large flat screen, but otherwise I doubt I'll want to stop here ever again.

I stopped at the Mill Creek Brew Pub while on a day trip to Walla Walla. The Walla Walla area is all about wine, so I was glad to find a brew pub.
Atmosphere is a spacious place on a triangle shaped lot in downtown Walla Walla. Nice patio area, and a lot of indoor seating
Quality was fairly poor. They have their Mill Creek beers, except they were out of everything but the IPA. After that it is Sam Adams, Stella, Widmer, Kokanee and Bud Light. Not much of a line up, and frankly it makes the place look like more of an average beer bar than a brew pub.
Service was good, but in early afternoon the place was not busy.
Selection was also pretty poor. As I noted above they were out of all the pub brews but the IPA. There were 7 other drafts, and about a dozen bottles, mostly macros. Full bar.
Food: N/A
Value was reasonable at $4.25 a pint.
I'd probably give this place another try if I ever go back to Walla Walla, maybe in the evening. In reading the other reviews it looks like this place is regularly out of one or more of their own brews. I have no idea what the problem is, but they need to do better than that. I doubt I'd be a regular at a place where the availability was in doubt.

Spent last weekend in Walla Walla for a wedding and ended up going to the Mill Creek Brewpub a couple of times.
My first trip was to have dinner with a couple of friends and their kids, and we sat in the restaurant half of the pub. The service was quite good and the food, while mostly basic pub fare, was well executed. I had the fish and chips and my wife had a burger and sweet potato fries, and all was pretty solid.
My second visit was to the bar for a few beers in the evening. I had all three of the available beers: Walla Walla Wheat, Brew 22 and their seasonal copper ale; all three were good but the wheat ale was particularly refreshing. Sadly, their IPA and porter were not available. Service later in the bar was pretty average; not great but not bad.
Overall, a straightforward pub. They had a few non-in-house beers as well as the three of theirs; it would have been nice to have had a wider sampling of their brews. I'd recommend it.

Stopped by when in Walla Walla overnight to catch a flight the next morning. The ambience is nothing special, the place was obviously catering to locals and the nearby college crowd, but the help did try to be informative about my myriad of beer related questions. The unfiltered IPA was quite good, I was surprised, but didn't try the other brews, the ones I wanted weren't currently on tap. Being on a diet I didn't try the food, but there was a sizable crowd chowing down so it couldn't have been that bad, burgers, salads, etc., good size portions. Worth a try for the traveling BA, certainly better in quality than Tri-Cities breweries, IMO.

I stopped by out of curiosity, never having heard much of their beers. Location is pretty easy to find, located next to a college campus. My expectations were low, but I was suprised. Atmosphere is more in tune with a sports bar, lots of big screen TV's around the rooms which was nice to catch some the NCAA games. There are two sections, a bar area and a eating area that allows minors in.
They have 4 or 5 beers that they make themselves and there are a couple more micro's and some macro's on tap. I was a little dissapointed that the two beers that I wanted to try were out so I tried a Brew 22. Good beer, nothing outstanding but enjoyable.
Food was good, typically bar fare but excellently prepared. Overall the experience was worth it and look forward to going back and trying there IPA and Porter.
