A: Copper with an off-white head, no retention or lacing.
S: Herbal hops with a raspberry jube-jube fruitiness.
T: Herbal, grassy, slight grain & fruit, modest bitterness.
M: Light body, no carbonation from the cask.
D: With some carbonation I could have a few pints.

This is the second time I've tried this beer, and while I was unimpressed by it at the first encounter, the second intrigued me, and I'd be interested in trying it again.
Copper body with a slight haze, supports a creamy off white head. Looks the part of a mild, though a bit lighter than I would expect - almost more of a pale mild. The aroma is a bit of a letdown, as its very muted and one-dimensional, showcasing a mild cream and soft malty bouquet. The taste manages to pick things up though, with its rich herbal and slightly soapy notes bouncing of a soft malty background. Nice cask conditioned body, with depth and very restrained carbonation.
Hey, this is a pretty good mild after all. The aroma needs a punch up, but other than that its pretty solid all round.

Enjoyed on-cask at Bar Volo. Dark amber colour with modest white head, tapped the day before. Malty aroma, also grassy hops and mild fruit. Lacey. Below average mouthfeel, malty with some bitterness and fruitiness, and chocolate malt. Not too sweet, but some vegetable mater that builds up over the pint, with accumulating pepper and tabacco. A decent cask.
