C'est What Festival of brewers on-cask. Fuggles and Goldings hops. Some fruit flavour, some aroma, light and breezy drinking really.Lacey, medium mouthfeel,. Not bad at its a.b.v. and being a cask, but stops short of being good.Still basically unimpressed with this brewery, but will likely run into an offering again.

Good clean peach body with an off-white head and some lace. The aroma is full of rich malt, some fruit and leafy English hops. The flavour follows the aroma to the letter, and seems very well suited to the cask format. Mild, yet textured, malt is present throughout, punctuated by leafy slightly herbal hops. The bitterness is very restrained, as indeed are the flavours, but this is well handled and seems to suit the beer well. As ever, the cask adds a bit more complexity to the brew, and without it I think this would be pretty disappointing. With it, this is a clear winner - a ridiculously sessionable beer at 3.6% with subtle and well-balanced flavours.

My favourite from this new brewery so far.
