First try on a St. Francis beer. Brewed and bottled for them by Sand Creek.
A -- Clear, deep orange-copper with a creamy, long-lasting, light tan head.
S -- Vague, lightly spicy hops and light DMS. Pretty light all around.
T -- Interesting blend of sweet, toasty bread and light caramel. Spicy hops in good balance and just a touch in the aftertaste. A mellow breadiness in the finish. A mild astringency and light roastiness show with warming.
M -- Mouthfeel is soft and smooth with a medium body. Mouthfeel turns somewhat syrupy with warming.
O -- A pretty decent take on the style for an up-and-comer.

12 oz bottle poured into a Sierra Nevada imperial pint
A - Gorgeous in color, Gluttony is a beautiful rusted copper color showing effervescent bubbles through it's perfectly clear body. The eggshell off-white head disappears with some haste but leaves nice lacing behind.
S - Stale, old bread crusts give this Oktoberfest a displeasing aroma from the beginning but notes of Munich and Vienna malts linger with hope - not awful but also not great.
T - Malt forward like an Oktoberfest should be, Gluttony has tasty gooey bread and toasted bread crust flavors with slight toffee sweetness following up and an acceptable absence of hops. The only problem with this beer is it's dark fruity notes which, for this lager style, shouldn't be there.
M - Carbonation is a little high for the style, but this Oktoberfest has a smooth malt body with easy drinkability and a slightly dry finish. A liter wouldn't be a chore.
O - Saint Francis Brewing Co hasn't done such a bad job with this Oktoberfest, bringing a good level of malt aroma and flavor, but tweaks to brewing/fermentation to clean it up could make it much better with little change in recipe.
