This beer is a bit thin with a rich coconut flavor but it is a bit fake tasting with heavy lactones present. Otherwise fairly enjoyable. Tastes like a good brown ale with coconut flavor added

12 oz. bottle (from a 4-pack costing about $10 at Sendick's in Franklin, WI):
Pours brown with a foamy tan head that lasts. Lacing sticks.
The smell is of dark caramel, coconut, chocolate.
The tatse is of coconut, caramel, nuts (hazelnut?) and a hint of chocolate. An earthy tone balances the sweetness in the finish.
It could be fuller, but it's full enough to work well. Aftertaste lingers on a palate for a bit.
A well-made, unique brew. A solid brown ale with a coconut flavors that blends in nicely.

Appearance - The beer is genrally a murky brown color with a slight head.
Smell - There was was little special about the nose on this one. It smells like a straight brown ale.
Taste - Initial impression is the malts of the brown ale. Then, it seems as though the brown ale is blended with coconut milk. The coconut is more milky than toasty. There are hints of a nuttiness that remind me of an English barleywine. The coconut fades in the after with brown notes lingering longer.
Mouthfeel - Carbonation is low and there is some thickness.
Overall - There is nothing over the top about this beer. It is a pleasant brown ale.

poured 12oz bottle into snifter.
A - Rich, deep brown/amder with a 1 finger khaki head. Fades into a thick ring and leaves behind minimal spotty lacing.
S - Coconut is very noticeable in a sweet way decadent way. Sweet malt with toffee notes.
T - I pick up the coconut right away with the base brown ale. Reminds me of a macaroon with some toffee and graham cracker notes. It is sweet, but not overly sweet to me. I don't find any nuttiness often associated in brown ales.
M - It is lighter body, yet still manages to be creamy. Carbonation is spot on.
O - This was a nice surprise and I found it to be very good. I enjoy coconut and few beers around WI use the flavor. I was happy to pick up a 4 pack for $10.
