Here's an example of the endless crazy flavored brews put out by Black Raven. The ingredients actually meld well together and make for a very interesting and highly flavorful brew. The PIlsner quality makes a good base with a refreshing tanginess.
Clean amber color in the nonic. Modest foam but plenty of spritz on the tongue. A malty warmth with plenty of sweetness. I think of hot cross buns, complete with the touch of sugar on the lips. Dried fruit and citrus.
A tangy mouthful with lots of aromatics. Crackery malt and just a modest hoppy butn. The heat seems to come from the citrus peel. On tap at the Brewery in Redmond.
