Thanks to MasterSki for winning this in a bowling league when his opponent tested positive for perfomance enhancing drugs.

A - Golden colored beer with a bit of head that faded to a ring and left some decent lace on the sides.

S - Grainy smelling beer with a bit of honey-sweetener and some lighter fruits. Doesn't smell that Belgian or particularly strong, but it doesn't smell bad by any means.

T - Taste is smooth and non-offensive, if not a bit boring. Sweet like honey, with a touch of belgian yeast notes. That's really about it, actually.

M - Medium bodied, and fairly smooth, perhaps a hint of bubbles are noticable.

O - Somewhat indifferent, not bad, not good, but definately not bad. Highly drinkable, particularly given the ABV it has.

Thanks to odiedog52 for this one. I'd never heard of it. Served in a wine glass. Bottle #383 of 480.

A - Pours with a finger of white foam that settles to a thin ring and some patchy wisps on top, leaving behind spotty lacework. Transparent pale golden body.

S - Toasted grains, honey, some yeast that doesn't seem all that Belgian. Smells like there might be some wheat in there (just checked, it's actually flaked oats I was picking up).

T - Taste is shockingly clean and alcohol isn't perceptible at all. As it warms up there's a light medicinal quality in a Belgian Single kind of way, along with honey sweetness from the pilsner malt. A little bland, actually.

M - Medium bodied, with medium, pleasant carbonation. Some light grain to the texture. As mentioned, absolutely no alcohol, which is amazing for an 8.7% beer.

D - Kind of dull, but goes down like water. If it weren't so rare this would be a very efficient way to get very drunk.

I've had this on tap fresh before and now a year later in the bottle.

A- golden pale, clean, clear with good lacing and head.

S- grains and fruit such as raisins dates apple and dark sugar.

T- the taste is better with the year on it. Mellow and the bitter harshness that was there new is gone which is great! The fruits are there with honey and a good breadyness to it. It is tasty and mellow.

M- good solid feel. Still has the carbonation needed to help it out.

D- easy to drink. Smooth and mellow, better aged.

VVDO pours a slightly hazy pale orange with a thin tan head. A robust yeasty, spicy aroma mirrors the initial tastes in the beer with a crisp honey-alcohol taking over in the finish. A surprising hop bittering comes afterward in conjunction with the alcohol. It has a fairly thin mouthfeel with high carbonation.

I love the taste of this identity crisis beer. It has such a robust belgian strong pale ale flavor but finishes thin and sweet and almost refreshing. Certainly worth a shot if your at Malt & Vine although you may have to wait til next year because they were almost out.

a dark golden pour with a touch of yeasty cloudiness and lovely carbonation. has a soft aroma of fruit, apples i do believe, and a little bit of dry funk. its dry and slightly fruity esters make this a delightful drink. the malt is a bit bready, hardly sweet. the sumptuous carbonation makes for a playful beverage. split this about 5 ways and it was the perfect amount. would like to try again to get a second opinion.
