Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a nice four finger white head that dissipates slowly to a thick cap with good lacing. Aroma of pale and lightly caramel malt, citrus and dank hops, grapefruit, mixed citrus and tropical fruit. Flavor is pale malt, citrus and dank hops, vague citrus and mild stone fruit, herbal dankness with some pine developing in the finish. Moderately bitter finish with some hop softness. Medium bodied with light creaminess. Not unexpectedly, the classic West Coast IPA is hybridizing into new forms, of which this is a good (and satisfying) example. The native WC character of pine and citrus are here, but melded with hop softness and a more modest bitterness. I personally would like a bit more alpha oil bite, but like this much better than a fruity hazy profile IPA. I actually like the dank notes better than the expected pine citrus in this one. Nicely done and should appeal to a broad group, as is appropriate for a beer week offering.

Pours a clear yellow amber in the wine tumbler. Lovely aroma of passion fruit and apricot. Hops are listed as Nectaron (New Zealand), Galaxy, and Mandarina Bavaria. The beer is hugely fruity, but it's all clean and bright. No murk, no juice. Tangy but mellow. A touch of acidity and very little bitterness, but a sort of green fruit aftertaste. Overall quite remarkably tasty. From the 16 oz can packaged recently.
