Don't know why it states this is a RETIRED beer, since today (3/31/2021) the Ghost River Web site says this about their ROCKET 88 offering:
Introducing the newest offering from Ghost River Brewing Co.: The Rocket 88 Oatmeal Stout. Featuring all the flavors one would expect from the style; this dark beauty has wonderful rich malt flavors, a velvety mouthfeel and a pleasant lingering roasty toasty finish.
LOOK: Pours near black, opaque with a tan to light brown head of 3 fingers on a half pour. Has good retention with solid side glass lace.
AROMA: Roasted burnt malts, coffee.
TASTE: This one is pretty much all malts, and as noted on their site it has a roasted and toasty finish.
Low carbonation and on the sweet side.

I am rating this for style. This is an oatmeal stout but has all the characteristics of a brown ale. Not bad just not to style.
Dark ruby brown color
Nutty aroma with a taste similar to an American brown with bitterness on the finish and thin on the palate.
Easy drinking brown but this is far from an oatmeal stout.
