On tap during a recent trip to the brewpub. Served in a gigantic, heavy goblet like you typically get margaritas in.
The beer pours a hazy brownish-orange color with a white head. The aroma has some orange citrus notes, as well as some biscuit malt and a little bit of perfume from the hops.
The flavor is similar. I get a lot of bitter orange notes, with some biscuit malt also mixed in. There is also a little bit of pine in the flavor, as well as some light cream notes. All of the elements you typically get in an IPA are there, they just don't really meld well together, which is the story of this beer. It just doesn't really work for me. Nothing offensive, just not real good.
Medium moutfeel and medium carbonation.
