Deep copper amber with a hint of haze, a moderate amount of slow rising bubbles, and a finger of glassy beige tinged head.
Roasted grains, dry white grapes, a whop of dull bitter hops, Munich hops.
Cracker, a hint of liquorice on the end, the toasted notes come in, a slightly dry almost Kolsch like quality, as well as Munich dunkel qualities as well. Notes are subtle, its well rounded and subdued.
Medium, slightly weighty body for a lager, subtle, low carbonation.
Found in Chiang Mai, drank here May 11, 2016. Well done brew, and we are hard pressed to find this style here so kudos to whoever imported it. Got it at Central Food Hall.

Brewed especially for a pub in Salzburg, "Urban-keller".
Pours copper, small white head that immediately goes to white lacing.
Smell of caramel, faint biscuit, apricot peel, faint cellar and some faint fig.
Taste starts with a mix of sweet and sour fruitiness, with citrus, fig and apricot, also sweet malts with honey and caramel. The big sweetness from the beginning is cut off by some stale wort, some wood, dry grass and some weird cellar notes (some cardboard, mold?), resulting in a pretty bad finish, with a weird bitterness and aftertaste.
Medium body, almost thick, low carbonation, syrupy.
Starts decent enough but has some weird flavours afterwards, not so well-made. A pity.

clear light amber body, off white dense foam of a few finger that dies down to a rim leaving little lacing
Smells of Vienna malt but without the typical metallic undertone, some hops as well but I cannot bring it home, maybe some pine, citrus and also noble hops aroma
Taste is typical Vienna lager caramel sweetness with just a metallic hint, followed by gentle bitterness and later some astringency that keeps you drinking
medium body with fine refreshing carbonation
Vienna is probably the best city for me to live in and as an Austrian I am proud that there is a style (invented by a brewer named Dreher) that was given the name of our capital. This style was almost extinct in its home country but is coming back with the craft beer revolution. That's awesome, too. However, most of the time I am turned off by the metallic taste and aroma of beer with Vienna malt and therefore also the Vienna lager beers. This is not the case with this one. Is it because it was brewed using the Steinbier method? Anyway, nice refreshing beer! Would order this anytime, if I would still frequent the Urban-Keller in Salzburg, where it is the house beer.
