Apple Wood Smoked Helles Bock is just as it sounds. We do an annual rauchbier with rotating woods and base styles, finding over the years that sweeter beers tend to balance the smoke nicely, so for 2016 we settled on a helles bock. Using a custom smoker we processed 220 pounds of malt over local apple wood, creating a classic aroma that suits the light yet malty beer just right. Fermented with a blend of two lager yeasts for lots of flavor and a soft finish.
