Cherry Wood Smoked Stout is our annually released rotating smoked beer and the first time we've chosen a base style outside of Germany. The core is a classic stout with rich chocolate malt flavor contrasted by just the right amount of roastiness, while the cherry malt fills in like you'd expect with warm smoke and wood flavors

Pours the color of heavily roasted coffee, with some creamy foam leaving lacing behind. The smoke hits you up front and lingers on the palate, matched by a sly cherry note. Warms nicely. Fantastic.

On tap at Upright.
Black with a dark brown head with good retention and lacing this looks great. The nose is nice with plenty of roast, chocolate, a little smoke and some coffee. Delicately fruity with raisin and cherry. The palate opens bitter with a blend of grain and roast, dark wheat bread, honey, dark chocolate, and coffee. This is followed by a delicate smoke character. Smoky and sweet on the finish with chocolate, earth, cocoa and a mild earthy hop bitterness. Medium in body and softly carbonated, this beer is solid.
