Cereveza blends two select casks of Ives aged twenty months. Slow and steady maturation in our basement barrel cellar helped this batch yield a balanced, complex profile. Black pearl cherries were added over the summer, bringing bright flavors that contrast the earthy notes from the well aged beer. Brewed for tenth anniversary of Saraveza, one Portland's best bars.

On tap at Upright.
A deep red with light pink head with decent retention and minimal lacing, this looks decent. The nose is phenomenal. Deep cherry aroma with dark red cherries with wonderful funk. Deep earthy and cherry funk, a brooding funk with earth. Mild lemon notes, along with some tannins are present This is Lou Pepe Kriek like. A mild cinnamon note is present as well. The palate opens fruity and sour with dark cherries, tannins, earth, a little lemon, a wheat dextrin note, a mild mushroom, preserved lemons. Drying on the finish with lingering lemon and cherry with a great balance of skin and pit tannins. Just a touch more lemon or acetic acid would tighten up the finish perfectly. Medium light in body and softly carbonated, this beer is phenomenal.
