Crowler from Upright.
A clear orange with a dense white head with good retention and lacing this looks solid. The nose has a lot of hops, particularly the Meridian and Hallertau Blanc, mildly spicy and grape like with floral notes, nightshade, paired with a spicy yeast note, moderately saison-like but not quite. The palate opens mildly bitter with a truly unique hop expression. Mild citrus up front before a moderate herbal character, minty and mildly melony, along with some spicy, grains of paradise like flavors, particularly with a nutty, grainy bitterness. The mid palate has a mild sweetness, with a light honey/cotton candy note. Drying, bitter, mildly herbal on the finish, this beer is creamy on the palate. Phenols and yeast esters, with a little fruity character. Quite good.
