Money Avenue IPA is a modern high flavor/low bitterness IPA with a little edge and an Upright distinction. El Dorado, Mosaic, Cascade, and Strata hops combine with our three strain house kveik blend and open fermentation, while a ninety degree dryhop temperature accentuates complex, bright greenhouse smelling hop oils. Extra dry and drinkable.

Draft at PreFunk. Golden pour, a little cloudy, small white foamy head. Aroma features mild citrusy notesand a bit of a Belgian vibe. Taste comes off like a cross between a hazy IPA and a saison, minor hoppiness and a little Belgian yeast.

in typical upright fashion, this is real fermentation forward for anything categorized as american ipa, almost more of a old world saison meets a modern ipa, the grain is light but raw a little bit and seemingly wheat based, and its nice and pale, while the hops are current, juicy, and only a little bit bitter, totally cool how whats always been the foundation of good saison is now kind of trendy in hoppy beer, this beer almost speaks directly to that, intentional or not. the cool thing is the yeast, of course, which isnt bretty per se, but has some definite rustic funk to it, not just a clean cultured strain, less vinous and wild than some of their others, and definitely less mature and tart, but its a huge influence on the nose and flavor here, light musty basement dankness, some hay and straw character, and light spiciness which accents the notes of green melon, kiwi, and clean citrus i get from the hops, ramping up towards the finish. its fresh but also kind of slow fermented and long dried out to me, maybe dry hopped real late, not sure how they do this, but it pops out of the glass to me as incredibly unique and really tasty. its cool they have a fresh hop version of this, id love to try it! the hops seem plenty fresh in here. overall really excellent, love how dry it is so the hops pop on the finish, and the ferment is way old worldy and unique, especially in this style. the alcohol is so well hidden and this is so lively, it could be 4% abv to me. upright strikes again!

Pint at Fork forty.salem Oregon.
$7.00.
Pours a solid orange juice colour. Small off-white head.
Not much aroma. Maybe because we were eating kimchi rice.
Taste is nice, subdued orange, tangerine and lime zest
Great drinkable mouth feel.
Lovely beer with dinner.

Crowler from the brewery.
A mildly hazy light orange with a dense, white head with excellent retention and lacing this looks great. The nose is intriguing. Immediately noticeable as a modern IPA with a moderate amount of melony and citrusy fruitiness but then a deep, mildly phenolic, moderately aromatic spice note appears, complementing the hops quite nicely. That must be the kviek yeast strain in action. The combination of floral, melon and citrus notes is really nice. The palate opens fruity and bright with floral notes of Jasmine, melon, ripe jackfruit, a little bit of orange, some peach. There is a mild bitterness present, but the tropical fruit character, that borders on over ripe with all the associated esters, lends a counterpoint to the sweeter flavors. Drying on the finish with a lingering juicy flavor, this is impressive. The only fault I can point to is that this is a tad light and mineraly on the palate.
