Served on tap at banger and lace. First gruit tick, here we go...
Appearance is like orange juice, cloudy and orange, no head or lacing. Nose is herbal and fruity. Orange juice is present along with spruce and tree sap. Taste is interesting, starts fruity and sweet and paired with earthy wintergreen and herbal tea. Nice balance, tastes unlike any beer I've had. Finish has herbal kick as well, does a nice job balancing things out. Mouthfeel is light bodied and medium carbonation. Overall, this is unique and tasty. I will have to seek out more gruits.

Cloudy pale gold colour with a creamy white head. Good head retention.
Big, tart, funky aroma with a fair hit of lactic sourness. Very slightly herbal. Good.
Crisp and refreshing with a dose of lactic tartness. Really good flavour with some mild hard fruit notes. Good.
Medium body with moderately-low carbonation.
Not a gruit as I know them but a thoroughly enjoyable wild ale and a great drop.

On-Tap @ Bailey's Taproom poured into Shaker glass.
Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a fizzy thin white head that quickly dissolves into a slight ring around the glass. The aroma was filled with honey, ginger and spruce. The flavor was malt forward with some touches of spruce and some more ginger in the background. Its light to medium bodied and is slightly creamy while still have a nice amount of carbonation. I really like this brew, it was thirst quenching and unique without being too over the top.

I had a glass of this at the brewery, poured by Alex himself, reviewed from notes on my phone, served in an old GABF flute glass, this was the last brew we had before we were on our way, color is a golden orange with some highlights, massive two inch white soapy head with some good retention and lacing, aroma consists of spices, pepper, herbs, wheat, citrus, hoppiness or at least something that smells like it is going to be dry, maybe even spruce, medicinal scents, and jasmine, flavor was very similar to the smell and started off with a big dry flavor, followed by citrusy fruits and herbs, finish was dry as can be with tart following right after that, this beer threw my palate for a ride, interesting to say the least, dry, fruity, herbal, and tarty mouthfeel, medium bodied, lots of carbonation, could have drank a lot of this stuff, complexity alone would keep me coming back for more, did not seem high in alcohol either, can be light and even refreshing at times, he said that we were one of the first people to try this, he was brewing for the Organic Festival in Portland coming up in the summer, not very familiar with the gruit style but this was awesome, would drink again, highly recommended
