Vermouth Barrel aged Flora is another version of our botanical saison.
Brewed in the summer of 2019 with calendula, hops, and homegrown
yarrow flowers, then matured in two vermouth casks for nine months, the
beer now shows warmer aromatics with a distinct vanilla note, brighter
acidity, and a light oaky finish.

Crowler from the brewery.
A mildly hazy light orange with a dense white head with excellent retention and lacing, this looks great. Thebnose is soapy, briny, Vermouth, a blend of herbal bitterness and floral essential oils. Along with this is the Flora base, with its herbal botanical character quite prominent. A light undercurrent of Brett is present. The palate opens soft, floral, fruity and flavorful. Well integrated, with a vanilla note complementing the vermouth nicely. Soft and floral with orange blossom, some light hibiscus, a touch of rose, calendula and root like bitterness. Vermouth adds a mildly bitter green grape character. A touch earthy, dusty, with a mild brine note. Soft, mild straw note with creamy carbonation and soft oils, this is fantastic on the palate.
