Bottle from the source.
A light yellow with a dense white head that falls off to a ring leaving little lacing. The nose has the classic Upright house character, soft, funky with clove and a little pepper, a light white wine note, and soft, fresh, fleshy Rainier cherries, very fragrant. The palate opens tart with a blend of mostly lactic and a mild lemony acidity. Not much cherry skin tannins are present, the focus instead is on the fruit and the barrel. Mild mineraly white wine, mild vanillin, some barrel. Drying, tart, focused on the finish with alcohol well hidden. Excellent.
