12 oz. glass at Upright Tasting Room, 7.17.2010. A blend of Lambicus Six, Pinot Four, and BJ Enfant Terrible, a beer brewed when Alex was at BJ's. Not sure I have the style correct, this probably falls within the broad penumbra of farmhouse styles that Alex champions.
Minimal head, thin ring around top of glass, minimal carbonation. Orange amber clear body no visible carbonation. Sourness in the nose, no hop presence. Nice sour hit up front, not really fruit like, more of a bacterial sourness than any fruit, though it did have a hint of peachy sweetness to balance the sourness and tartness, no hop presence at all, a pretty complex tasting brew. Some effervescence to the medium mouthfeel, dry attenuated finish. Good drinkability. I thought this was a really nice sour, one of the best I've had recently. Having had the Lambicus Six by itself I thought this was an improvement, nice blending job by Alex.
