On tap at the 16 tons café in Eugene.
The beer pours a golden amber color with fairly good head retention and lacing. On the nose and palate, I get honey, pear and apple in this fairly sweet beer. This beer is a proto-typical tripel style, with considerable sweetness, on a honey and vanilla base. There's an element of something else going on in the beer, but at this juncture, the sweet honey and underlying fruit clearly dominate. Alcohol is well integrated into the flavor profile, though you can certainly tell it's up there.
Interesting beer, and not the sort of thing I normally expect to see from Upright. Kind of puzzled as to what possessed upright to make a beer like this. Doesn't seem to be in their wheel house.

on-tap, brouwers
Looks the part - a hazy orange body, cloudy with yeast, creamy white lace. Spicy yeast, a large ABV bite, bubblegum, grass, heavy clove. A bit big for the style - but a strong flavor profile and a nice yeasty finish. Felt less than stellar the day after an evening which I consumed 2 of these, along with a few other things....
