Pours a medium bronze amber with a half finger light tan head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of biscuit and lightly bready malt, grassy hops hints of brown sugar; malt dominates. Flavor is semi-sweet biscuit and dry malt with mild citrus and grassy hops, light nutty flavor, biscuit malt and grassy hops in the finish. Medium bodied with a good mouth feel. Closer in style to an English bitter, with a emphasis on malt and non-herbal hops. I liked the malt base quite a bit and while the hops were not forward, they had a good English flavor (turns out Goldings are one of the the hops variety, as well as Magnum, which is what gives this a bit of a European flavor). Not a typical APA, but nice and drinkable. Enjoyable.
