On-tap at The Pig & the Pickle. Snifter.
A: Served a very dark brown cola color with a thin collar of bubbles, no head.
S: Tart notes, red fruits, mild salinity, slight vinegar.
T: Cherry juice and black current fruit juice notes hit first followed by a mild tart acidic bite and a mild buttery quality in the finish. I get hints of dried blueberries as well. The complex fruit nuances are great, but there's a underlying strange brine taste. It's not strong or necessarily bad, just something that stood out to me. The finish is semisweet and tart with a drying finish.
M: Medium full body, slick and greasy mouthfeel, with a drying finish but not a desert. Just a couple gritty tannins.
O: Overall a solid and easy sour, interesting fruit notes, but not the most complex overall.
