This is a clear dark orange beer with a nice white head. Smells pleasant with some mixed spice and fruit but somewhat assertively smells like apple sauce and vanilla. Medium/big bodied with nice carbonation - a mouthful of beer on this one!
The nose is completely deceiving but once your over the confusion it tastes pretty good. Namely, the apple sauce and vanilla gives way to a flavor profile of strong English bitter! It's quite good but one just doesn't expect the spicy and fruity and somewhat "sweet" nose to give rise to such a complex layer of bitter. All in all a nice drink.
