At the DIPA/TRIPA festival, there was 105 kegs. This was the strongest of them all clocking in at a whopping 12.5% and 90ibu.
Poured a caramel color, thin off white head. Aroma was good, almost brown sugar to compliment the large dry hopping.
Taste actually hides the alcohol nicely, the 90ibus don't seem all that harsh. Sure, there is plenty of caramel here, and the highly hopped American barleywine category can come calling. Seems like there was a blend of normal and proprietary hops here, nothing was super lush like an exclusive Mosaic and Citra bomb, but it did come off like there was 5-6 hop varieties used of different origins.
