On tap at the Ballast Point Tasting Room and Kitchen.

Clear rose colored (that's rose like the wine) with a decent white head that has a slight pink aspect and leaves some spotty lacing

Feel: medium-light body; Medium+ carbonation.

Smell: Nice mix of hops that is about equally fruity and herbal.

Taste: surprisingly complex, with subtle but clear contributions from the cactus. Mildly hoppy Sweet up front but very good bitter/sweet balance overall.

O: refreshing and recommended.

Tasted at the brewery on June 8th, 2014.

Listed as an R&D beer and described as "American Wheat w/ Prickly Pear"

Pale yellow, slightly cloudy, with a faint pink hue. Small, lacy head made up of large bubbles.

Slightly fruity nose with noticeable prickly pear overtones.

Very pleasant light wheat flavor. No significant hopiness. Prickly pear flavor is very distinct, but not overpowering.

Refreshing Summer beverage!
