22oz bottle poured into a snifter
A- pours a deep ruby/purple color with a small fizzy white head that reduces to a film floating on top, no lacing
S- initial aroma is of ketchup, but as it warms , notes of cinnamon and nutmeg barely come through, slightly sweet malt
T- cinnamon spicing up front, reminiscent of cinnamon toast, a hint of nutmeg with a sweet malty base, other than that pretty simple
M- medium body with medium carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that fills the mouth and continues into a dry finish
O- highly drinkable but bland for the style

Handsome dark reddish brown with streaming bubbles in the Saxo tulip. Quite fizzy on the tongue. Light body with some malty mouthfeel. Faint beery smell with a hint of wood.
Flavor is woodsy and dark with a fair amount of roasted barley. Pumpkin flavor is actually rather nice, a smooth fruity squash taste with a quite moderate amount of spice. Some sweetness and a pumpkin pie aftertaste. The dirty hop taste is less pleasant, but adds a slight bitter finish. I call it brambly.
This actually tastes better after some sipping. I like the pumpkin taste but not the gummy hops. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Del Mission Liquor on Washington Street for five bucks.
