On tap at Churchill's during San Diego Beer Week. This is Sculpin at its best. First and foremost it looked amazing with crystal clear orange/gold color and a thick (almost nitro like) pure white head.
Nose was assertive honey and pineapple with bitter hop tones and the fruity notes of mango and dragon fruit. (Ok...mango anyway...I'm not sure what dragon fruit smells like; suffice it to say this one really smelled wonderful).
Flavors was just what you wanted from a Sculpin with fruit - delicious, fruity, thick and rich and with tons of honey, bitter hop and fruit tones all juxtaposed and balanced perfectly. A nice, nice beer.
