Draught pour at Davis Beer Shoppe into goblet. Pours black with brown hue edges with pencil layer of khaki head with minimal retention and left spotted lacing. Nose is all barrel, attributes of VaS are nowhere to be found. Taste is mostly barrel as well, limited attributes of the base beer detectable. Finishes surprisingly clean, little lingers on the palate, slight burn. Mouthfeel is slick and carbonation medium. Good, but prefer the barrel variant I've had previously.
