very smooth and elegant for a barrel aged. oak on the nose, smoky finish and the taste is heavy with rye.

Draught 8oz snifter at The Brass Tap here in Baltimore: black body, finger's worth of tan head which lingered longer than expected given the ABV ultimately resolving to a nice ring, wispy cap, and significant lacing. Smell of bourbon (i.e. wood & vanilla). About the same on the tongue. Medium bodied, pleasant CO2, and alcohol bringing up the rear. Nice!

Had on tap. Pitch black with brown foam and lacing. Aromas of woody and molasses heavy bourbon, oatmeal, coffee, dark chocolate, and sawdust. Taste has tremendous depth with the same flavors, the barrel really adhered to the oats and coffee particularly well. Body was not as heavy as I expected, oats actually still had an impact on the texture, good booze warmth. I know people are down on ballast point, but this is worth your time
