Served in a five ounce taster glass at Ballast Point's 11th Anniversary Party, my last beer before leaving today and it was really something special
Color was a dark brown, almost black, with lots of carbonation, and a film of sikly head that stuck around while I sipped on it for a half an hour
Smell was wine, chocolate, cherries, malt, caramel, coffee (cappuccino), and some vanilla, very complex, but amazingly good
This beer is strong and you can really feel it in its heaviness, took a long time to finish this, probably could only drink one or two more of these sized servings, probably a whole pint at most
First time this beer was ever available to the public and it was great, about ten different things going on it, but they all complemented themselves nicely, hope everyone else enjoyed this today, stayed longer than I would have just for this one because they did not pull the keg until 3:00 pm, which led to the largest line of the day

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
