I had a couple of swigs of this out of the bottle and recapped it as I was going out the door, and I was totally baffled. Well, revolted too. So now, tasting it in the cool light of scientific fact I read that this is brewed with French white wine yeast and "loaded with orange juice." It may be "mimosa inspired" but I call it Queasy Seas as the fruit comes back up my nose.

The aroma is actually quite interesting, and it does smell like wine. But that's the best part. You could actually drink this but it is just so winey and peculiar I long for a jug of Tyrolia to settle my stomach. From the 12 oz bottle purchased at Trader Joes in Ballast Point's home town.

12 oz bottle. Pours slightly hazy orange yellow with a medium bubbly white head that quickly goes to a thin dusting that leaves little lacing.

The aroma is soapy Belgian malt and yeast with some coriander and a little fruit.

The flavor is sweet oranges and malts with coriander and earthy Belgian yeast. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, overall an interesting beer. Like a big boozy fruity wit.

Don't be fooled. This beer, at 10%, is by far, not "dangerously drinkable". You will taste the alcohol. Another negative, to me but maybe not to others, is that it tastes overwhelmingly like a nasty banana-clove type Hefeweisen. Phew! Just not good.

Our mimosa-inspired creation is the ultimate compliment to brunch. Brewed with orange zest.
A- hazy bright orange in color with a bouquet of foam that settles quite fast to an attractive ring.
S- bubble gum fruity yeasts and orange candies all around. Smells quite good
T- bitter orange zest candy orange flavor and a fruity yeast finish. Sparkling flavor with no ethanol burn. Impressed!
B- smooth medium bodied dangerously drinkable

Overall quite impressed with this beer if I found it cheap I could drink a few a sitting.
