Dark brown but not black. Light doesn't pass which leads me to believe it's cloudy. No head and no lace.
Strong alcohol and candy sugar presence to the nose. Definitely powerful like a Port.
Tastes like raisins soaking in a sweet honey mead. Very sweet. Like the smell there's some powerful alcohol here. The body is as rich as any beer I've had. This makes the carbonation seem weak although I doubt it is.
