On-tap at the Provisions,
A: Pours goldenrod with a medium white head, solid lace for the style.
S: Love ginger, so quite an enjoyable nose. Ginger dominates though some grapefruit tries to squeak in.
T: Good mix of flavours, the hops and the ginger complement each other well. Grapefruit, other citrus, pineapple give a nice complexity in tandem with the root.
M: Soft carbonation, medium-bodied, creamy.
D: Solid beer, a lot of the ginger beers I've had have gone way over the top. This is a nice version and just as drinkable as the original.

On-tap at 38 Degrees
A: The pour is a light golden color with a mild white head on top and some spotty lacing.
S: The ginger is not all that intense, which is a good thing. The hops still shine through and give off a pleasant grapefruit and lemon rind aroma. As the beer warms, the spice does come out a bit more.
T: Initially the ginger is quite subdued (likely due to the temperature), but provides a bit of spice as it warms. The citrus hop flavors provide a nice counterpoint to the ginger as well as some bitterness.
M: The body is light to medium with a crisp carbonation and finish.
D: I was fully expecting to dislike this beer, but it was actually quite good. A really easy drinking IPA and an interesting combination.

Not sure this is a "double ginger" but is on cask at the brew mart. delicious creamy and very easy to drink. no spice really on the finish from the ginger like i was hoping for. more of the nose if influenced. i believe it sat on the ginger for a week. awesome very rare brew to try. super texture, almost like it would be sweet but it's not at all. and felt a little like vanilla / oak but guess it's just the texture you get from sitting on the ginger lees or whatever it's termed.
