oh my gosh it’s amazing. ballast point hasn’t even released this yet. it’s a barrel aged sour. the bouquet and the palate are perfect. it tastes of old sailing ships in the most delightful way possible. it’s not overly sour but certainly touts all the curiosity and strangeness of a Flanders or Gose. musty and dank. boozy on the nose and on the tongue. tart but not acidic. look is a dark caramel with a tiny bit of micro foam. smell has a cherry finish. the feel is surprisingly stout for a sour, thanks no doubt to the barrel aging. overall, amazing.
