Unique. Excellent on tap. The Guajillo Chili makes this an excellent beer.

On tap at Brewer's Mart, San Diego, CA on 6/30/11.

A - Penny copper-colored liquid with a slim off-white head that reduced to leave some stringy, spotty lace around the glass.

S - Smells like Mexican food... like a chile relleno, to be more specific. Prominent spicy pepper aroma with a seddy, oily character and not much sweetness at all.

T - Oily, peppery character with quite a bit of bold spiciness on the tongue. Earthy notes abound, like a spicy Mexican dish. Not sweet or bitter at all. This one is all about the pepper.

M - Medium bodied with an oily texture and light carbonation. Mouthfeel is smooth and slick overall.

D - I'm digging these pepper beers. This one has tons of flavor but never gets too insanely spicy. Bold and flavorful!
