On cask at the Blue Palms in Los Angeles. It shows up occasionally here, usually for Blue Palms anniversaries or Ballast Point tap takeovers.

It's a hard beer to describe. Really smooth, a little creamy even. The oak aging is strong, and really renders the Sculpin into its own unique beer. I prefer it on cask, but I've had it on tap as well.

I can't recommend it enough.

Had via cask at ginger man in NYC
very different taste than regular sculpin. Though admittedly thiswasn't my first beer of the day out in ny. I really enjoyed it. To me the beer had almost a cinnamon-y taste to it imparted from the barrel aging. Very unlike what I have tasted before. And had a very unique flavor that I really enjoyed. Grab some if u can.

On cask for the 4th Anniversary event at Blue Palms Brewhouse in Los Angeles, CA.

Pours a clear honey orange with a foamy bone colored head that settles to a thin cap on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of citrus fruit, citrus zest, tropical fruit, and oak. Taste is much the same along with some herbal hop flavors and a woody finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a low level of carbonation with an almost flat mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer with some great aromas and flavors but the cask treatments leaves a lot to be desired in the mouthfeel.
