Come on! You're in PALAU for crying out loud! World class diving! Giant clams the size you see in cartoons! A tropical eden! But wait...good beer too? Yes siree! Apparently, Augustus Busch (yes of that family) helped out the local brewery back in the day. Now they turn out three beers: a light, an amber and a porter. Red Rooster is a modest operation, but it's a small island. The beers are surprisingly good - they have maintained the quality of the beer as they don't really have to mass-produce it. Considering the remote location and lengthy supply chain to get the ingredients out there, it's impressive they have decent beer at all - especially home-grown stuff! You can find the light and amber ubiquitously, the porter is a bit more scarce. All are worth trying. Bottom line: go to Palau and have a Red Rooster!
