The best of the three located in McCall, and the best location by far. Sitting right on the lake, they've since added a outside taproom with lovely views of the lake from the rooftop. There is always something new on tap too, and they're not afraid to brew lesser known styles. Service is usually good, but this place can get very busy. I have no ordered a main course, but hte cheeses curds I had on my last visit were fire.

Did a brewery hop when we stayed there recently. Great little ski mountain town and breweries.

it was awesome to get to check this place out, an idyllic location pretty much right on the lake and right downtown. perfect spot for a brewery. they have two buildings, the original pub area with a cozy feeling mountain town vibe sort of bar, all their beers on tap, some views of the lake, an old school vibe. and then right next door they have the new build, which now houses their production as well as a gorgeous rooftop patio thats open for the summer and some events, it was closed when i was there, but i can imagine the views are outrageous! its a bit quiet up there this time of year, the whole town is, busy in the summer and busy in ski season, in between, not much happening, so it was mellow when i checked it out, a few folks having a meal and a beer, just me at the bar. i could easily see it getting packed out in here, its not all that big, but i liked the relaxed vibe. they have an impressive list of beers, american styles, belgian ones, and english ones too, thats how their menu board is broken down. i enjoyed a citra wet hop brew, as well as a pretty classically styled esb, but it was hard to choose, lots of neat recipes it seems, and an impressive selection overall including a couple of heady guest drafts. i didnt even look at a food menu, but what was coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled tasty. the service was chill, welcoming, and prompt enough, everything super low key in here, easy place to post up and relax. i really liked their beer, and have liked it around boise as well, they are making some nice stuff and that was even more true at the brewery. ill come here as often as i make it to town, good beers and good times, definitely recommended!
edit: this place is best in summertime, the patio are seems expanded since i was last there, great views, bustling atmosphere, and the food menu was solid, had a tasty pizza, some nice shareable apps, and some relatively ambitious beers. this is a great stop after a day on the lake, the food is nice, the vibes are unbeatable!

Tried the three beers on tap when I was there - Idaho Goal, the Pale Ale and the Buzz Buzz Porter, in sampled glasses. They were all good though none were standout great. Nice vibe to the place with a nice outdoor seating area behind a residence converted to a brewpub.

Hell yes.
One of the two brewpubs in Mccall and hands-down my favorite. I stopped by both the other night and they're like night and day.
Salmon River caters to a younger hipper crowd, with blown glass taphandles, a foodie menu including sushi (brewshi), casual atmosphere, and bob marley music was playing for that extra bit of zen. The other brewpub in town (Mccall brewing) was playing country music and I was the only person under 50 that night. Both have good beer though. Salmon River nailed the ipas, whereas Mccall brewed up a great peaty Scotch Ale...but I digress.
Very rarely do you get such great food at brewpub...usually just burgers and nachos. Yet Salmon River has two main highlight. Great BBQ and Great Sushi! Who'd have thought. I stuck to the sushi theme, starting with some spring rolls (maybe a bit too cabbagey) which came with 3 dipping sauces. I then did two sushi rolls and some maguro nigiri as an aperitif. All of it tasty.
A flight of tasters (served on the front half of a snow ski) and a pint of IPA afterwards. A couple of the lighter beers were a bit bland or similar, but the ipa, dipa and even the pa satisfied my PacNW hophead side.
If you're within an hour of Mccall, make this a must stop.

This is one of those rare places that combines both good beer and good food, in a pleasant atmosphere. Stopped in here in the afternoon on a drive from Boise to New Meadows, ID. They had five beers on tap...IPA, DIPA, Stout, Golden, and Pale Ale. All were quite good, and the Golden much better than average for the style. The food was delicious. I had a double brat sandwich which was very food. My wife had sushi which she pronounced excellent. It is not very often you find a sushi bar in a brewpub, but combing pub food with sushi is an act of genius.
