On draught at Bailey's, Ravens Roost is burnt gold with an amber tinged light sand head leaving sheets of lace, nice creamy rings.
Smell is soft, muted, very faint citrus. Butterscotch really opens up as it warms.
Taste is also pretty bland, there's a biting malt quality, a punch of diacetyl, a little fruity.
Mouthfeel is dry and a bit oily, but creamy (which seems weird for the style, I didn't want a nitro pint), with a medium body.
Drinkability is pretty low for my taste. Very weak on the hops for a DIPA, it's just a dirty strong ale. Below average, overall, I'm not impressed.
