Definitely off the beaten path about an hour away from Acadia National Park. Located on route 1a, the building features a wrap around porch. Nice view of the bay...and a Shell station. The atmosphere is frequently disrupted by the sounds of heavy trucks going uphill in low gear.
The service was excellent--thoughtful and very pleasant. The beer, alas, was pedestrian. Probably not worth the time for a side trip unless you are a big time beer geek like me.
