The label is very informative, except it didn't list a.b.v. anywhere that I could see. Being an IPA, I would expect 5.5 to 6.
This is the only Yellow Rose brew I've ever tried, but I'd definitely have another of these, and give them the benefit of the doubt on their others.
There was a very bold flavor up front- this doesn't sneak up on you later. It was sweet and flowery, with a great bitter/ hoppy aftertaste. Aroma was heavenly; lots of hops and their floral aroma.
The aroma and flavor was more unique than a lot of California/ Oregon bitters and IPAs that I've had, so I enjoyed its originality of the taste as well. An excellent beer.

According to the label, this beer is dedicated to Belle Starr “The Bandit Queen” also known as “The Female Jesse James” and “The Petticoat Terror.” It pours a medium hazy golden amber color with a creamy and sticky white head. Nose is a crisp semisweet fruitiness with notes of grains. The taste has a distinct malty flavor with a lingering bitterness of hops and hints of citrus. It is medium bodied, smooth, and a bit creamy in the mouth. One of the best brews I have tried from the Yellow Rose Brewing Co.

Presentation: 16oz brown with no freshness date.

Appearance: Cloudy rustic orange in colour due to the poor sedimentation of the yeast (be careful when decanting). A more than decent lace crawls up the sides of the glass.

Smell: Sweet and citriusy from the hop with an underlying grain aroma.

Taste: Slightly aggressive hop bitterness with a citrus and leafy flavour. A little chewy in this medium bodied brew with a very smooth mouth feel. Quite fruity from the hops and alcoholic esters. The after taste is lingering fruit, hops and a nutty flavour from the yeast.

Notes: A relatively decent IPA though perhaps a better fluctuating yeast would help with the sedimentation ... other than that, it is a very enjoyable brew and very much an American IPA.
