Pours a very deep red, nearly black. Head is brown, but dissipates very quickly. Aroma is very sweet with vanilla and brown sugar. Taste is also very sweet, maybe overpoweringly so. Some oatmeal with dark fruits: raspberry, currant, raisin, and a hint of vanilla. Feel is pretty light with medium carbonation and is somewhat slimy. Overall this stout is somewhat intriguing with its flavors, but is a bit too sweet for my tastes. When taste is combined with the mouth feel, it's a little like drinking a light syrup, but there are definitely enjoyable qualities here.
